To make Cinnamon Apple Crisp Gelato

  1. Add the Crema Lusso and cinnamon powder to a mason jar.

  2. Put the lid on the jar, and shake it for 30 seconds to combine the ingredients and break up any cinnamon clumps.

  3. Chop up the apple into chunks (discard the core). Add the apples to a medium saucepan with 1 tsp butter, 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1 tbsp sugar on medium-low heat. Stir the apples with the cinnamon and butter to evenly coat them. Reduce the heat to low, place the lid on and let the apples steam, stirring occasionally, until soft, about 10-12 minutes.

  4. While the apples are steaming, add the oats to a separate saucepan, over medium-low heat. Add 2 tbsps Sugar. Stir constantly until the sugar has melted and the oats are lightly caramelized.

  5. Once caramelized, remove the oats from the heat. Line a plate with parchment paper and transfer the oats to the parchment paper and let cool, breaking up any big chunks.

  6. Add the softened apples and caramelized oats to the mason jar with the Crema Lusso and cinnamon. Put the lid on the jar and shake it to combine the ingredients, about 30 seconds.

  7. Remove the lid from the jar and pour the gelato into a plastic or airtight container. Put the lid on the gelato and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until completely frozen.

  8. Once frozen, scoop and enjoy.
