Candy Cane Ice Cream
An Easy Holiday Treat Your Family Will Love!
Ingredients:
Crema Lusso - 22 oz.
Crushed Candy Cane pieces - 3/4 cup
Peppermint extract - 2 tbsp
Vanilla extract - 1 tbsp
Kosher Salt - 1 tsp
Instructions:
With Ice Cream Maker:
Whisk together Crema Lusso, peppermint, vanilla and salt. Pour mixture into machine and follow manufacturer’s instructions. Once churned, add crushed candy cane pieces and blend until incorporated.
No Churn Version:
Pour Crema Lusso into a large bowl and chill in the freezer for 10 minutes. Remove and whip the Crema Lusso with a hand blender on medium for 5 minutes. Next, blend in the peppermint, vanilla and salt. Pour into a 9x5x3 inch pan and freeze for about 1 hour until soft serve consistency. Remove from the freezer, fold in the candy cane pieces and freeze again until firm and scoop-able. Usually about 4 hours.
